Meet the Pirates
The PC Baseball team is hosting their second annual “Meet the Pirates” dinner and fundraiser on Saturday, January 28, 2012. The event includes a social hour, dinner and a silent auction, and will be held at the new Porterville Fairgrounds.
This is an opportunity to meet and support the 2012 Porterville College Baseball Team before the season begins.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Pirate Baseball Team. Tickets are $40.00 per person.

Fresno State Liberal Studies Conference
For the first time the Fresno State/ Community College Liberal Studies Conference will be focused on STUDENTS! The Liberal Studies Conference is designed to inform and promote discussion about upcoming events and news among students, staff and faculty. To be held in the Alice Peters Auditorium on Friday, March 23, 2012.

Phi Theta Kappa Induction Ceremony
Phi Theta Kappa held their
annual Induction Ceremony during the fall semester, honoring outstanding students and featuring PC
Vice President Steve Schultz as guest speaker.
Phi Theta Kappa is the premier international honor society for two-year colleges. PTK members are among the best of the best. Members are given opportunities to both develop personally and to give back to the community through Phi Theta Kappa’s four hallmarks: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Fellowship. These opportunities are offered at the local, regional, and international levels.
Students inducted into the Honor Society included: Rebecca Bivens, Michelle Blackman, Waylon Dashner, Gregory Fredrick, Steven Gilstrap, Mcneil Hodges, Gabriel Malandrini, Denise McQuarrie, Leigh Milan, Sara Ojeda, Alejandra Saldivar, Lisa Smith, and Desiree Thomas.
When you see any of these students across campus, please congratulate them.
